We would be happy to transport your pet to Dubai, UAE. We will inform you of your pet's full itinerary before the trip and we will update you as your pet travels.
For more information simply call us at (239) 344-8959 or check out the resources below to learn more about our animal transport services.
1) The UAE does not permit the import of dogs and cats under the age of 15 weeks, or under the age of 27 weeks, depending on your pet's country of origin and whether or not your dog/cat requires a rabies titres test in order to enter the UAE (see page 3). In all cases, your pet must already meet the minimum pertinent age requirement in order to be able to apply for an import permit.
2) All pets must arrive in the UAE as manifested cargo ~ the import of pets as accompanied baggage or in-cabin is strictly prohibited.
Boxers, Doberman Pinschers, Rottweilers, All Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, American Bully, All Mastiffs, Canario Presa, Japanese Tosa Inu, and Wolf/Dog Hybrids. Also, any crossbreeds or hybrids of the dogs listed previously are not allowed.
Very importantly, many airlines worldwide do also have their own restrictions with regard to the species and breeds of pet and other animals which they are willing to transport. You must look into this carefully as you (and your exporting agent, if you're using one) make decisions on airlines and routes for your pet's travels into the UAE.
There is no quarantine in the UAE for pets arriving with all their vaccinations, documents and all other Ministry requirements in order. Importantly, however, if everything is not fully in order, your pet may be quarantined, re-exported, or even in very rare cases, confiscated.
Maximum Number of Pets
If you're relocating your pet into the UAE yourself (i.e. without using DKC or some other recognized, trusted agent), then the UAE government limit the number of pets which can be imported to a maximum of two per person (i.e. per passport) annually. However, if DKC handle your relocation on your behalf, the UAE Ministry will permit up to five pets per person (i.e. per passport).
All dogs and cats must be treated against internal and external parasites by a registered veterinarian within 14 days of travel. For the external parasite treatment, the active ingredient in the product used must be either Fipronil or Permethrin. For the internal parasite treatment (deworming), the active ingredient in the product used must be Praziquantel. Details of these treatments can either be officially documented into your pet's vaccination record, supplied on a certificate from your pet's veterinarian, or included within your pet's official international health certificate.
All cats and dogs must arrive with an original valid health certificate which has been certified by an official government/ministry veterinarian in the country of origin within 24 hours of departure. This certificate must follow the MOCCAE model. The MOCCAE health certificate model stipulates exactly what information must be included in your pet's health certificate. The layout and general format of the health certificate is not stipulated by the MOCCAE, which means that users of this form may reformat/redesign the presentation of the information, BUT the actual data requirements must be strictly adhered to.
Cats and dogs entering the UAE from the United States ONLY: Following an agreement between the USDA and MOCCAE, the health certificate can exceptionally be attested within 10 days of departure due to the geographical difficulties in gaining the health certificate within 24 hours of departure (as still required for other countries). The agreed and approved health certificate for cats and dogs from the USA only is available here.

"Thanks to Starwood Animal Transport, our first experience moving our dog internationally was a very successful one! The communication throughout the entire process was prompt, clear and comforting. Kudos to Ross, Sherry and Nick for providing great customer service.I do believe that in the end, our dog had better care and travel arrangements than we did. I highly recommend Starwood and will certainly use them again in the future."
"The people you used at each step were wonderful. The girl who picked him up in Houston was wonderful. The man who delivered him here in Dubai – equally great. I know this is something you and your team do on a regular basis – but obviously this isn’t something we do – and to have our little dog with us here in our new home in Dubai makes our apartment here, our home! Of course, I shall recommend you to anyone wishing to fly a pet – and when it’s time for us to fly home, I’ll be in touch."
"Greg and I wanted to thank you very much for all your work to get Pepper safely back to Australia.I know that we bombarded you guys with a lot of anxious emails at one of your busiest times of the year. We wanted to put on the record that we sincerely thank you for all your guidance and patience with us, and especially for taking on Pepper’s move at a time when we were having trouble getting traction with another service provider – you got us back on track, and very quickly."
"Samantha is doing quite well. We were very pleased with your service. She is a very important member of our family and we were very stressed about her being on such a long flight. Thanks to all the personal assistance you gave me to prepare her, everything turned out better than we could have expected. If we should ever need to fly out pet again, I can’t imagine using any other service. I would highly recommend Starwood Animal Transport to everyone!"
"A very BIG thank you to you all! The trio arrived safe and sound this morning around 2am and they were absolutely fine. They seem to have settled well into their new home as if nothing ever happened. I so appreciate all the hard work, care and professionalism that made this relocation happen. 'Starwood' is on my top list of favourites and shall make sure everyone that is ever wanting to relocate pets shall know about you all!"
"After getting our family back (2 Goldens) from NY to London Gatwick I have to congratulate you and your global team for achieving what is no small achievement. Your service in managing the paperwork, the customs clearance, selecting the best airline and route and hand holding the vets through this timely but critical process was, I am sure the only reason everything went through without delay or undue stress. Thanks to you and to all of your team. You are a service benchmark."
"Blake and Raven had a wonderful journey. I don't think the trip phased them in the least. They are happily settled and enjoying life in Georgia. Kenny did a wonderful job taking care of them both. He was very conscience and caring, and made sure they were fine before leaving. I will definitely recommend your business to anyone needing to relocate their pet family."
