The basic requirements for relocating a pet to Hong Kong are as follows:

  • Import Permit
  • Microchip
  • Rabies vaccination must be given more than 30 days and not more than 1 year old
  • Valid annual vaccinations between 14 days and one year old
  • Pets must have residence at place of origin for at least 6 months
  • Pets must travel to HK by cargo style
  • Pets must be at least 5 months old
  • International and Hong Kong specific Health Certificates
  • Government Endorsement
  • Possible blood test needed

If all requirements are met (and we always make sure they are), then there is generally no quarantine in Hong Kong, but this depends upon the pet's country of origin. There is no quarantine for pets arriving from the US.

Depending on the place of origin, we can fly your pet directly to Hong Kong, or we can break up the flights with a “rest stop” in the middle, where your pet would be given food, water, and exercise.

We will inform you of your pet's full itinerary before the trip and we will update you as your pet travels to Hong Kong International Airport.
