Starwood Animal Transport and Air New Zealand

All pets that enter New Zealand are subject to a strict set of rules.

Here is a brief outline of the requirements to move to Auckland:

  • Check that your cat or dog is eligible for import
  • Book an MPI-approved quarantine facility (for pets not coming from Australia)
  • Notify official veterinarian in New Zealand at least 3 days before arrival (or 5 if from Australia)
  • Minimum age specified on the applicable model veterinary certificate in the IHS
  • Ensure pet meets residency requirements
  • Apply for a permit to import

Don't face all these regulations by yourself! Fill out the form now to request a free quote from Starwood. Let us handle your pet move door-to-door. And if you do decide to do it on your own, then make sure to check out all the rules to moving your pet to New Zealand here.
