Looking for the pet relief areas? The Detroit Metropolitan Airport has four such options (two in each terminal):
In the McNamara Terminal, the first is located outside the international arrivals area before security. Upon exiting the International Arrivals area, turn right, proceed down the sidewalk, and then turn right again. The second relief area is within the terminal, post-security adjacent to Gate A-34. Look for the sign, “Service Animal/Pet Relief Area”.
In the North Terminal, you will find the relief areas before and after security areas. The pre-security area is located on grassy areas at each end of the Departures Level (Upper Level) curb. Exit the ticket lobby and proceed to the designated grassy area. The second location is within the terminal, post-security across the concourse from Gate D-16. Look for the sign, “Service Animal Relief Area”.
